Good news to those that experience migraines. The FDA has recently approved the Cerena Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator (CTM) for alleviating migraine pain. Although the CTM device does not relieve symptoms of migraine pain, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to sound, nausea, etc. For some, it has proven to get rid of migraines quicker.
The FDA conducted a test using the CTM device across 201 migraine sufferers. According to Fox News, 38% of patients using the device experienced relief from migraine pain in 2 hours, compared to 17% who were given a fake version of the device.
The device zaps migraines away by using magnetic energy to stimulate the cortex, which helps to alleviate pain. Dr. Weil, best-selling author and speaker of integrative medicine thought-leader, gives his take on the CTM device saying, “This new approach to treating migraines isn’t perfect, which is also true of the drugs available to relieve the headaches. Nothing works perfectly for all migraine patients.”
