4 Things to Do Before Hosting a Holiday Party

Holiday parties are in full swing, are you hosting one this year? While planning a party can be stressful and overwhelming, it doesn’t have to be. Whether you are planning on having a few friends over or the entire family, this handy dandy checklist will carry you through the party planning chaos. Chances are you are already super busy during this time of the year and are probably planning last minute, don’t worry, this list will help you! Make sure to do these 4 things before hosting your holiday party.

1. Send out invitations – even it’s an electronic invite via email, a Facebook invite or by mail make sure to get these out as early as you can. If you are planning last minute, invite via email or Facebook, just make sure to let your guests know to check their inbox!

2. Plan an easy menu – save yourself some stress here. Plan an easy meal or ask your guests to bring an item to share, like a potluck. Make as much as you can ahead of time so you can enjoy your guests and not be cooking.

3. Bring in the decor – bring in holiday greenery and holiday decorations. Make your home extra festive for your guests, they will appreciate it and when they leave you will have an extra cozy holiday filled home.

4. Give a parting gift – it is the holidays after all. This doesn’t have to be anything big. But if you have a smaller number of guests getting them something unique such as a magnetic bracelet or copper magnetic ring would be really fun and thoughtful. However, if you have a large number of guests stick with something smaller, such as a package of baked goods.
